The Southern Construction Framework is the third generation framework in the South of England, and succeeds previous generations including the South East Centre of Excellence Construction Framework (SECE), iESE South East and London Construction Framework (SEaL), Construction Framework South West (CFSW) and the London Construction Programme (LCP). This new framework is a bold joint venture between Devon County Council, Hampshire County Council, and Haringey Council to draw on the strengths of each other and their experience of running construction frameworks to provide an efficient and modern construction procurement vehicle for the benefit of all public authorities in the South of England.
The Collaborative Approach
The three joint venture authorities share a central management system, common processes and work closely together, but each provides a local point of contact for their region. Devon County Council provide support for framework projects in the SW, Hampshire County Council in the SE, and Haringey Council in London, but users will experience exactly the same level of support, advice and service no matter where they are.
Sharing Best Practice
The framework has been procured in three “lots” to reflect the geography of the region, and to enable our contractors to choose where they can best operate. However, all of the SCF contractors, regardless of the lot they are appointed to, meet together on a monthly basis with the framework management team to share best practice, drive forward new improvements, and review performance, workload, pipeline and market intelligence. Together, as a partnership, we are committed to giving framework users the best possible construction experience, and to keep improving year on year.
